Tracy McMillan lives today in Columbus, Ohio, with her boyfriend, whom she calls “the most extraordinary man” she has ever met. She has a son, Joseph, from her second marriage. She leads a successful career that has earned her several awards.
Tracy McMillan is a relationship expert and uses her social media platforms to raise awareness and share ideas about childhood issues and their impact on relationships. On the television, Tracy McMillan is known for her work in Mad Men, The United States of Tara, Necessary Roughness and Runaways, among others.
She created UnPrisoned imagining what her life would be like if her father came to live with her and her son after spending all those years in prison. Although the story is very personal to her, she says everyone can relate to it, whether or not they have been in prison.
She has been married three times. She first married when she was nineteen, but things didn’t go as planned. Then she got married at 32, pregnant with her son. She and her second husband separated amicably. Her third husband, whom she married at 40, was a liar and a cheat.
In 2016, she wrote a fictionalized version of her story in a novel called “Multiple Listings,” which has a similar premise to UnPrisoned. Today on Disney Plus but is following a different path.
