The Mandalorian is available on Disney Plus! If you want to know where is Cara Dune in Season 3, read on! The executive producers of The Mandalorian addressed the role of Cara Dune in the third season after the actress Gina Carano has been licensed by Disney.
Gina Carano played a recurring character in the first two seasons of the hit Star Wars series. However, in 2021, Gina Carano was fired following a social media post in which she appeared to compare the treatment of modern Republicans to that of Jews during the Holocaust.
Disney-owned Lucasfilm said at the time in a statement, “Gina Carano is not currently employed by Lucasfilm and it is not expected to be so in the future. Nonetheless, his social media posts denigrating people based on their cultural and religious identity are abhorrent and unacceptable.” Featuring The Mandalorian Season 3 Episode 1, where is the Marshall Cara Dune?

Famuyiwa who is also directing episodes 1, 7 and 8 of the season 3 of The Mandalorian confirmed that the character Cara Dune had been the subject of intense discussion in the writers room during the work on season 3. This is the smartest solution to the problem of Cara Dune from The Mandalorian, insofar as that means the Disney+ series can just move on from the Marshal of the New Republic for the time being. Nonetheless, Famuyiwa’s remark surely indicates that his absence on Nevarro will be addressed in the season 3 of The Mandalorian.
And indeed, in the first episode, Mando asks where is Cara Dune and she is told that she is in the service of the New Republic, somewhere in the Galaxy. The role of Gina Carano in Cara Dune may be finished, but it’s entirely possible that the character itself will be revamped. To find out how many episodes the series has, read this.
If Lucasfilm does indeed redesign Cara Dune after the season 3 of The Mandalorian, it will be exciting to see who they choose. In the meantime, don’t think to see Cara Dune in Season 3 of The Mandalorian!
