The Glory is available on Netflix! If you want to know who killed jeon jae-joon, read on! The finale of The Glory could charitably be described as “all over the place”. Some would say it’s a real mess, though there’s undeniably a great sense of catharsis and even some touching emotions amidst the many details that need to be ironed out.
Either way, there’s a lot going on there, and the extra length seems necessary to accommodate not only the conclusion of the first season, but also, in a way, the build-up to the second. We are here to explain everything.
Given the unusual structure of this episode, we won’t necessarily run through it in chronological order, but will summarize how each of the key subplots unfolded and what happened to the main characters. Here is who killed Jeon Jae-joon in The Glory!
Who killed Jeon Jae-joon in The Glory?
Dong-eun discovers that Jeon Jae-joon is colorblind, as is Ha Ye-sol, Yeon-jin’s daughter, and realizes that Ye-sol is the biological daughter of Jeon Jae-joon, not Do-yeong’s. While serving as the homeroom teacher in Ye-sol’s class, Dong-eun leaves Jeon Jae-joon discover the truth, and it’s hell.
Dong-eun informs Jeon Jae-joon that a fellow teacher, Chu Jeong-ho, took inappropriate photos of Ye-sol and other girls, prompting Dong-eun to go to school and beat the teacher to the hilt . It also provokes a confrontation between Jeon Jae-joon and Do-yeong.
As it increasingly appears that Yeon-jin will likely go to jail for murdering Myeong-o, Jeon Jae-joon asks Hye-jeong if she will be a mother figure in Ye-sol’s life. Seeing the opportunity, Hye-jeong gladly accepts. After applying what he believes to be his eye drops, Jeon Jae-joon is run over by a concrete mixer truck, but he does not die instantly.
Later, we see him chased by someone. Although we might initially think it’s Hye-jeong, it’s actually Do-yeong. He knows that as long as Jeon Jae-joon is alive, he and his daughter will have no peace. He pushes Jeon Jae-joon, temporarily blind, from the top of a building floor at a construction site. To know the end of the season in detail, it’s here.
While Jeon Jae-joon falls towards death, he seems to regain his sight and realizes who is killing him. Jeon Jae-joon falls into the liquid cement mixture several stories below and dies. After divorcing his wife, Do-yeong leaves for London with Ye-sol.
