Scream 6 ending explained
To the end of scream 6, it’s not two, but three killers who roam New York stabbing people. Ethan becomes a suspect, and it’s easy to see why. One of the main clues that points to him as the killer is his absence during the burglary of Ghostface’s apartment. Plus, Ethan was Chad’s roommate, meaning he had easy access to all the conversations.
Quinn’s “death” is also a clue, especially since there wasn’t a scene where Detective Bailey found her body, and she didn’t die in front of everyone. The fact that Quinn mentions that she has a brother who is dead is also a clue, hinting that there is more to her story that she doesn’t fully share.
The other clues concern Inspector Bailey, played by Dermot Mulroney, who is too keen on getting directly involved in the case, even when he is no longer assigned to it. His suspicions of Kirby also point to him being one of the killers. To find out when it will be released on Netflix, it’s here.
At the end of Scream 6 we end up with Sam, Tara, Chad and Kirby locked in the cinema. Detective Bailey calls Sam to tell her that Kirby is untrustworthy and unstable. Sam, Tara, and Chad briefly turn on Kirby before it’s revealed that she isn’t the killer at all, and that there are more than one who entered the sanctuary.
At the end of Scream 6, Inspector Bailey reveals that he conspired with Quinn and Ethan, his two children, to kill Sam. Tara and Kirby go after Ethan. Sam leaves the Billy Loomis mask behind as she walks away with Tara.
Detectives Bailey, Quinn, and Ethan are Richie’s father, sister, and brother, respectively. They wanted revenge on Sam for killing Richie in Scream in 2022. For them, Billy Loomis was an icon. The Ghostface Murders in Scream 6 were nothing but the completion by Richie’s family of what he had started. To find out when Scream 7 will be released, read this.
At the end of Scream 6, Sam had stopped having visions of Billy Loomis, but he reappears to her when she stares at his mask in the Scream 6 cinema sanctuary, because he presumably reminds her of how it felt to kill. But with Billy’s Ghostface mask so close, Sam was tempted. And although she ends up wearing the mask, Scream 6 indicates that Sam isn’t interested in following Billy’s path.
