However, he doesn’t understand much about all of this because he’s late for work and she quietly changed her alarm clock. He’s late, but he promises to come back for lunch. When he arrives at the office, his colleague reminds him that he has a presentation to make at lunchtime.

At the end of Not Too Soon, Every time Dante tries to fix his future, he always ends up failing. He tries to quit his job, but before he can, he ends up jumping to the next year, where he’s the director of the company. He tries to end his relationship with Francesca, but a minute later he realizes that they have continued their relationship a year later.
He wants to spend more time with his daughter, but after promising her he’ll see her again soon, he finds himself on the porch of his house a year later. He learns that Valerio has cancer and loses his father within a year technically, but for him, only a few hours.
But then Dante finds out about Valerio’s cure and finally uses the gift Valerio gave him at the beginning of the story: The roller coaster. At the end of Not Too Soon, something clicks in Dante and he decides to change his way of life. Dante goes to his office and declares that he will no longer make his job a priority.
He takes a dog and spends the whole day with his family, enjoying their company and worrying about nothing else. And when he wakes up the next day, it really is the next day, not the following year.
Was the roller coaster a mystical rite of passage that Dante had to experience before his life returned to normal? Well no. As mentioned earlier, the film uses Dante’s experience with time as a metaphor for his midlife crisis.
There end of Not Too Soon, leaves us without giving a definitive answer about Dante and Alice’s relationship, it’s easy to see them working out in the end. With Dante’s time travel curse finally over and his need to live at full speed gone, he can finally begin to work on repairing his relationship with Alice.
