Luther Fallen Sun follows the BBC series, Luther, which follows Inspector John Luther, desperate to capture a criminal. The Netflix movie sees Luther in jail after the original series ends, but the return of a serial killer from Luther’s past prompts the disgraced detective to break out of jail to finish the job.
Luther Fallen Sun does a good job of setting up its plot to be both accessible to fans of the original Luther series and newcomers alike. However, since the conclusion of the Netflix film is very eventful, it can be difficult to discern the connection between the sequence of events. To know the end of Luther Sun Fallen in detail, it’s here. Otherwise, we talk to you here in detail about who is the Leader in Luther Fallen Sun!
Who is the Leader in Luther Fallen Sun?
Following his fight with Robey, Luther is seriously injured and is in a near-death situation. Luther is rescued just in time and the doctors tend to him. In the last moments, Luther regains consciousness and finds himself in an unknown place. As Luther regains his strength, he is greeted by his former superior, Martin Schenk.
Schenk reveals to him that Luther is being kept in a government-owned shelter. However, since Luther had become a wanted criminal after his escape from prison and a disgrace in the eyes of the public, he is surprised by the government’s move.
Luther’s conversation with Schenk is interrupted by the sudden arrival of a procession of government vehicles. One of the officials gets out of the car and encounters Luther as he exits the hideout. He then directs Luther to a car, stating that his chief“ The Chief, would like to speak to you“. However, the film ends before Luther enters the vehicle and we meet leader.
The ending strongly implies that leader runs a top-secret government agency that operates in the shadows. With Luther’s reputation ruined in the public eye and the former police officer considered a criminal, it is unlikely he will be able to return to his job as an inspector in chief. So it seems that leader offers Luther a way to escape prison. He might try to recruit Luther as a spy for his government agency.
