Carnival Row Season 2 Ending Explained
At the end of Season 2 of Carnival Row, thanks to the tooth of the Sparas that Philo retrieved from Berwick’s body, Tourmaline discovers that the Sparas is Mikulas Vir, a military officer who came to the Burgue as part of the Pact’s delegation. Realizing he has been unmasked, Vir transforms and goes on a killing spree, but fails to break into parliament and slaughter the Burgue leaders as he had planned.
The Sparas realize Tourmaline is in their head and fly to carnival row with Philo in pursuit. He eventually manages to kill the monster but loses Darius in the operation.
At the end of Season 2 of Carnival Row, by dragging the body of the Sparas around the neighborhood, Philo ends the violent confrontation between the enraged mob and New Dawn. Thatch shoots Philo and is in turn shot by Sergeant Dombey. Philo survives his injuries, but Thatch does not.
At the end of Season 2 of Carnival Row, Vignette and Tourmaline get married, under the presidency of Mima Sawsaan. Then, in the last scene, Philo talks to Millworthy, who has left behind the scenes of power to once again become a traveling entertainer.
They think about what the future holds for them. Philo can always rejoin the police, especially since his relationship with Dombey has improved markedly. He can also go to Tirnanoc and find Vignette.
